The Community Action Network (CAN) seeks to foster the empowerment of people living in poverty and their allies, who wish to have their voices heard, through collective organizing and action. Participants meet to discuss current events & social justice issues and to work together to create positive change within the community. This club is geared to lower income community members, but allies are also welcome. For more information call the Peer Advocacy Office at 613-267-6428 ext. 29 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please call ahead and talk to Beth at 613-267-6428 x4 to see if there is a meeting on any given week since during the months of February and March CAN is planning and hosting community meetings around the county, so we will not be having our regular weekly meetings every week.
The group is scheduled to meets Wednesdays from 10-12 at the Table with a free lunch following, however location and times may vary due to activities and events the group is participating in.
Currently the group is working on a Housing Outreach Campaign and is primarily focused on the planning and implementaion of their outreach, the first phase of which will be completed in March of 2017.
