Designing a vegetable garden for a season of seed saving-Free Workshop

In this workshop Dawn Morden, of Mountain Grove Seed Company, will lead us though an interactive session on vegetable garden design and seed saving. We will learn about:

  • Value of seed saving
  • How to integrate seed production into our garden 
  • Which plants to save seeds from
  • Proper plant needs and spacing to produce a seed that is 'True' to its parent
  • How to save favourite seed varieties and maintain genetic biodiversity 
  • Drying, processing and storing techniques.

About the presenter:
Dawn has been saving seeds since 2003 which led her to starting Mountain Grove Seed Company in 2008. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and background in Chemical Engineering.
