New Logo Sprouts Exciting Changes for The Table Community Food Centre

June 10, 2026 – Perth, ON: Summer is underway, and with all the heat and rain of late, verdant growth is everywhere. Good things are sprouting, too, at The Table Community Food Centre. With the help of Ottawa-based Mad Anvil Design, the recognizable former logo of The Table has been given a subtle yet impactful makeover.

“Our new logo,” says Jean Dunning, Vice Chair of The Table’s Board of Directors, “retains some of the elements of our previous logo, but now includes the image of a sprout, symbolizing growth, flourishing, optimism, and hope for a better, brighter future for all. A future where everyone is food secure and as healthy as they can be.”

The new logo was made possible thanks to the support of Right To Food (formerly Community Food Centres Canada). Right to Food is a national organization which advocates for food as a human right, and which networks and supports 18 Community Food Centres and hundreds of other Good Food Organizations across Canada. The new logo includes the wording, “A Right To Food Partner”, reinforcing the reciprocal relationship The Table has with Right To Food.

“In 2012, The Table became one of the first Community Food Centres to take root in Canada,” says Bronwyn Underhill, Right To Food’s Chief Program Officer. “Through its many programs in Perth, and now also in Smiths Falls, The Table helps show what rights-based food security programming can look like in rural communities. The dedication of The Table’s staff and its many volunteers, along with the tremendous support of the greater regional community, makes it all possible.”

The sprout in The Table’s new logo is emblematic of how changes, no matter how small, begin at the grassroots. With the continued strong support of its surrounding, vibrant community, The Table continues its mission for food security, health equity, and social justice, rooted in respect for the dignity

and rights of all people.
